The Perfect Wedding Bands: Say 'I do' in 2022

Find the perfect duo of wedding bands for you and your partner.

This year is set to be a big one for weddings, with a huge number of couples eagerly waiting to celebrate their big day. With people turning to micro-weddings, casual nuptials and alternative bridal fashion - maybe it’s time to shake up your wedding rings too.

Wedding bands are a great place for couples to have some fun and get creative! So if you’re planning a 2022 wedding then we have some fun trends and tips you should consider when choosing your wedding bands.

Through Thick and Thin

When considering a Fenton band the first thing to consider is whether you prefer one of our thin or one of our thick styles. Traditionally men have always worn a thicker band with women preferring a dainty thin one however we are all about shaking up tradition! We think a chunky band can look great on it’s own or stacked with other bands, however if you’re looking for a style that can fit neatly with an engagement ring then the thin bands are a better bet.

Colour Coordination

A nice way to coordinate between a couple can be with colour. Each gemstone has a meaning and you can pick one based on the attributes you’d like to foster in your marriage, for example if you’re a lover of steadfast loyalty then you could go for a blue sapphire Eternity band and a blue sapphire Single Stone band. Alternatively if passion is your priority then you could go for a ruby Seven Stone paired with a ruby Three Stone Band - there are so many combinations and options you could choose from!

To Pave or Plain

Your wedding band can be a great place to add an extra touch of sparkle that can be worn stand alone or with your engagement ring. It can also be the start of a stack that you can build over the years to mark special occasions from anniversaries to birthdays and births. Pave bands will need regular servicing to ensure all the prongs are secure and are harder to resize vs a plain band, however we also offer two hybrid bands, the Seven Stone and the Chevron which have pave on top and a plain band below giving you the best of both worlds!

Bespoke

If you have a very particular band in mind then we are always here to help! Get in touch with our concierge team who can work with you to design a bespoke set of bands that will be truly unique to you as a couple.

Engraving

Lastly, don’t forget to pick an engraving for your bands for some added special meaning! At Fenton we are pleased to offer complimentary engraving and it’s always a lovely touch. Typically we used block font, hand engravings. If you’re looking for a script font or hand engraving, our concierges would be happy to help.
