What jewellery should I wear on my wedding day?
There are no set rules as to what jewellery you need to wear on your wedding day. However, typically brides or marriers will choose to wear their engagement ring and wedding band, and a combination of wedding earrings, a necklace and bracelet. Read on to discover our 5 expert tips.
What will you be wearing?
A great place to start is thinking about what your dress or suit looks like, as it's important to ensure your jewellery will compliment it. For example if your dress has a high neckline such as a halter you may not want to wear a necklace and instead opt for a statement earring. Whereas a strapless dress is perfectly paired with a simple pendant necklace and matching earrings.
Consider the jewellery you already love to wear
Another useful tip is to think about the jewellery you already love to wear, and use this as a starting point for your wedding jewellery. Are you all about simple and timeless style? Solitaire studs and Solitaire pendant could be for you. Or are you looking to make a glittering statement? Maybe the Pear or Deco Drop Earrings are just right. We recommend matching your metals to create a cohesive look.
Match your engagement ring
Option 1: The perfect contrast
Get creative! We suggest choosing one of two aspects from your ring such as continuing with the same metal or gemstone, to create a cohesive look. For example our vintage ring could look perfect with a solitaire stud earring and pendant necklace. Or you could mix up the gemstones while keeping with the matching styles.
Option 2: A timeless matching set!
The matching jewellery set is a timeless bridal look. Whether opting for modern designs such as a bezel set gemstone, or something more traditional like a halo setting, you’re sure to wow!
At Fenton we offer a range of bridal jewellery sets including the Solitaire, Bezel, Classic, Vintage and Star!

Something blue
We’re sure you’ve heard of the age-old wedding tradition of ‘something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue’... well, your jewellery can be the perfect place to tick off your something blue!
From the magical glitter of the Aquamarine to the regal sparkle of Blue Sapphire, incorporating one (or both!) of these gemstones into your wedding jewellery could be the perfect option. We love the Aquamarine Deco Drop Earrings for a piece which incorporates both stunning gemstones!

Choose the timeless Pearl
Pearls have been treasure for thousands of years, renowned for their majestic lustre! Their soft white and cream colour makes them the perfect choice to wear on your wedding day. And as a symbol of protection and good luck, they’re the perfect talisman to carry with you.
For some added sparkle, look for pieces which pair beautiful Pearls with gemstones such as Aquamarine, Emerald and Diamonds.

Where to buy bridal jewellery?
Your wedding is the perfect time to invest in fine jewellery pieces. The jewellery you wear at your wedding is sure to have a high sentimental value, so choosing pieces which are crafted to heirloom quality is a great choice and can be passed down through the generations is a beautiful choice. When choosing a jeweller, we recommend looking for solid gold or platinum pieces, which can then be set with gemstones such as Aquamarine, Blue Sapphires and Emeralds!
At Fenton we allow you to customise your jewellery, and each piece is made to order in 4-6 weeks to your exact requirements, using responsibly sourced gemstones. Or if you can’t see quite what you're looking for, you can check out our bespoke bridal jewellery service.
