About Us

Our Mission

We strive to create only the best heirlooms in a fully transparent, responsible and inclusive way

Our Founders Laura & Kathrin launched Fenton in 2019. Their mission was to take Kathrin’s decades of experience at some of the biggest household names in fine jewellery and shake up the industry with a fresh approach. Fenton believe in only the best for you, our suppliers and our planet. Through our regulated supply chain our dedicated team in India personally inspect and select each of our sparkling gemstones and diamonds, cutting out traditional markups from middlemen. This lets us give our customers the best quality jewellery at an exceptional price point.

Responsibly Sourced

Certified B‑Corp

Highest Quality

We do things differently

The old school industry marketing myths such as “a ring must cost 3 months salary” have dominated our cultural psyche since the 1930s. We want to change that, with personalised jewellery crafted at a price that suits you. Whether you’re celebrating commitment, challenges or change, we are here to make that easy. Whoever you are, whoever you love, this is your everlasting heirloom.

Certified B-Corp

Fenton is one of only a few jewellers in the world to achieve a B Corp certification for its commitment to meeting the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. We are accredited Living Wage employers dedicated to the wellbeing of our employees in London and across the globe.

Countries of Origin

Emeralds

We source this iconic stone from Brazil and Zambia. Emeralds have a unique set of inclusions owing to their complex crystallisation process.

Fenton Emeralds will exhibit wispy feather inclusions, mica platelets or other whitish inclusions - and no two Emeralds will ever be the same.

Garnets

This fiery stone is sourced from Canada, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the USA. Derived from the Latin ‘Granatum’, which means Pomegranate, the dark inky red Garnet is the most ancient of gemstones, dating back to 3500 BC. Garnets are the perfect choice if you’re looking at a large, beautifully saturated gemstone with few inclusions.

Rubies

We source our Rubies from Mozambique and Thailand. Red is a rare colour found in nature, and the chromium in the gemstone creates a unique set of inclusions, just like in an Emerald. Large, gem quality Rubies are rare - which means they often match or overtake Diamonds in value.

Aquamarines

Versatile, understated and incredibly beautiful - the Aquamarines are sourced from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Zambia and Mozambique.
Sparkling like a crystal clear ocean, the Aquamarine was believed to be the treasure of mermaids. With its soft blue colour, the Aquamarine is a popular alternative to the Diamond.

Sapphires

Our Sapphires are sourced from Sri Lanka and Thailand, with some of our Yellow Sapphires originating in Australia. Sapphires are known for such inclusions as zoning or feathers, but their hardness results in a very high lustre, adding to their sparkle. And at 9 out of 10 on the Mohs scale, they are the perfect gemstone for daily wear.

Solar Diamonds

We source our solar diamonds from India. Solar diamonds are lab grown diamonds that are grown using solar power and so take their sparkle from sunlight. With no visible difference to the naked eye this is a fully sustainable Diamond.

Our Materials

We pride ourselves on taking a gold standard of responsibility and quality within the jewellery industry

Recycled Gold

There is already enough gold in the world to use so we have no need to go to the dangerous methods many do to mine new supplies

Platinum

The most durable of metals, Platinum is slightly heavier and more expensive than gold, with its highly valued bright white colour

Accent Diamonds

Each of our accent Diamonds are GH VS quality, natural Diamonds sourced through registered site holders

Our Guiding Principles

Point of origin

1. We source from companies that are world leaders in ethical mining operations.

2. We do not source from conflict zones where gemstone mining may further corruption or violence.

3. The countries or companies we source from actively support local benefication and protection of the local habitat and environment.

4. Child labour is forbidden within the mining industry.

5. There are safe and fair working conditions.

The Workshops

6. Ensure safe working conditions.

7. All workers over 18 years old.

8. All workers paid fairly, above prevailing local wage.

9. Women and men are paid the same for the same work.

10. Workers are given fair and equal chances for promotion and advancement.

Fenton ensures that all of its partners strictly adhere to these best-in-class ethical standards by conducting regular in-depth audits and reviews of every supplier.

How we do it

Through regular site visits and an on the ground presence we have built close relationships with artisanal miners and local dealers. This now enables us to access and purchase the gemstones closer to the source, avoiding the large-scale sorting houses and cutting out the middlemen who can double the price of a stone.

Our Concierge

We don’t have a sales team, we have passionate gemmologists which we call our concierge (or by their lovely names as you’ll see in our reviews). There’s nothing they don't know about gemstones, but not only that, they are here to chat financing, ring sizes, delivery options and anything else to make your journey with us easy. All for free! No consultation costs, just a helping hand either online or in person in our showroom.
